Bike ride at the lake

Dane went for a bike ride with his dad at Grapevine Lake during spring break. They had a great time.

Joelle's birthday is the day before her Grandma Sylva's. The older Joelle gets the more we notice that she takes after her Grandma Sylva in a lot of ways. We found out that she loves to paint like her Grandma Sylva, she is musical, she loves flowers, she's a daddy's girl, she has some of the same mannerisms, and a lot of her favorite clothes are the same colors her grandma loves to wear. Sometimes after I have gotten her dressed for the day Tyler will say "She's a little Sylva today". Joelle got a Wonder Pet's water color book for being a good girl and using the potty. She sat out in the back yard and painted for a long time. She finally quit when she started running out of paint.

9 months old

Boone is 9 months old and it's up, up, and away! He's climbing up on everything and has the bruises on his head to show for it. It still shocks me a little bit when I walk into his room and see him standing up in his crib. He is also finally holding his bottle by himself. His top four teeth are coming in so he has been a little more grouchy than usually but he is still such a joy to have around. He is always ready to give everyone a big smile.

Our Hoola Hooper

Cody loves to count. So at the beginning of Spring Break I picked up the hula hoop and did it one hundred times so we could count to 100. Well he picked up the hula hoop and screamed and cried because he could barely get it to go around two or three times. But he eventually did it 8 times, then 12, then 22....I was really impressed when he did it 127 times....until he set his record high a few days later at 1,402 times around!!! What a champ! Look at the bruises on his hip in the last picture...he sure was proud of himself when he saw those bruises in the mirror. He goes out and hula hoops a few minutes every day now. What great exercise. You can see in these pictures that he is still in his pajamas...there have been a few days where hula hooping was the first thing he wanted to do in the morning. You go Cody!!!

Naughty girl!!!

Now I ask you...does this look like the face of a girl who would chew off the end of her bed frame? Well she did the little stinker!!! And I have the pictures to prove it! Tyler said he used to chew on things too...crazy!

Dane's machine gun

Grandmas and Grandpas, Dane wanted me to take a picture of the "machine gun" he made with his trio blox...so here you go! :) Right after I took these pictures Dane's teacher suggested he get a hair cut because he kept flipping his hair out of his eyes while he was trying to do his work...so he got a hair cut.

Dane's Leprechaun trap

Every year the first graders make a "Leprechaun trap" around St. Patrick's day. So here is Dane's Leprechaun trap. You can't see it very well but there is a trap door in front of the pot of gold. Leprechauns are attracted to gold and other shinny things and often disobey signs...in case you didn't know. I really should say this is my Leprechaun trap since I made the whole stinkin' thing! The plan was to have Tyler make it with Dane over the weekend but we all forgot, so of course, I was the one who had to stay up making the darn thing until 1:40am Tuesday night...then Joelle woke up at 3:00am from a nightmare and Boone woke up at 5:50am ready to start the day...I still haven't recovered....thanks a lot you stupid Leprechauns!!!

Spring is in the air!

We went to the park last Saturday and had a great time. Dane's best friend Jake came with us. After the park we went to McDonald's. Jake said, "The park and McDonald's ? This is the best play-date ever!" We thought so too! Glad you could come with us Jake. If you are wondering why Boone is not in any of these pictures it's because he slept in the car the whole time.
