Swimming lessons

The boys have been taking swimming lessons. Dane's main goal was to be able to pass the swim test at Lifetime Fitness so that he could go on the big water slides...mission accomplished!

Hey Guys, it's getting late...you need to turn off that video game and go to bed! Guys, did you hear me? Guys...?

Bullfrog

When Tyler was here last week the kids found a bullfrog out back. They had a great time playing with it, and Tyler got some adorable pictures. Unfortunately they almost loved that frog to death and we had to take it away from them...poor frog!!! :)

No more fussy baby!

When G & G Thomas where here back in April they discovered a wonderful way of dealing with Boone when he was fussy...they would take him out back and swing him for awhile and he would eventually fall asleep...no more fussy baby!

Hail storm...yikes!

We took these pictures back in April. We had a really scary hail storm and this is some of the hail we collected that had bounced up onto our patio. We put it in a dish and saved it in the freezer so we could show Daddy when he got home...unfortunately, Tyler was driving home from work during this storm...we were all glad when he got home safe.

Baby turtle

Back in April, when Tyler's parents where here for a visit, Tyler brought home a baby turtle one morning, that he found while walking the dog out at Grapevine lake. The kids had fun with it for a little while and then we all walked over to the pond, just down the street from us, and let it go in it's new home

"We're so glad..."

Growing up in church there was a song we would sing in Primary called "I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home" and the lyrics went like this:

I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home,
Glad as I can be;
Clap my hands and shout for joy,
and climb upon his knee,
put my arms around his neck,
hug him tight like this,
squeeze his cheeks then give him what?
A great big kiss!

That just about sums up how we all felt this past week when Tyler was able to come home for a whole week of vacation! Joelle was stuck to Tyler like glue...she asked me tonight if Daddy would be coming home today to sleep in his bed...sorry baby girl, not tonight! :(

We're so glad when Daddy comes home...glad as we can be!!!

We love you and miss you Daddy...we hope and pray our house will sell soon so we can be together every day!

Food napper!

Boone has figured out that the cupboards have food in them...in the first picture he found some chocolate cookies and in the second picture you can see that he discovered that he can bite through the foil lid of the applesauce cups and suck out the apple sauce! Getting caught is almost as much fun for him as finding a yummy snack...LOL!

Friends

Here is Dane with his friends Adam and Audrey. They are brother and sister and live just down the street from us...they would spend 24/7 with each other if they could. They are constantly back and forth between our two houses...and usually have to be pried apart with a crow bar and promises of more play time the following day to get them apart. It's too bad they just found each other right before we move. They are definitely making the most of the time they do have to play together.

The Dental Depot

Cody had his 6 month check-up at the dentist yesterday. We go to this cool place called the Dental Depot. When we first moved here to Texas, Dane was crazy for trains. This office is by one of the parks we used to go to and he loved seeing the train. So of course this is the dental office I chose for him. It is completely train themed inside and out. There are two model trains that run around the ceilings and into each room. The kids just love it. We will miss the Dental Depot.

"All aboard!!!" The train has a bell you can ring...unfortunately the whistle doesn't work anymore.

Cody was scared this time after having a cavity filled last time, but he was better once we all left him alone. Then one of the receptionists came back and told the kids to use their "quiet, inside voices" and then she looked at the kids, then at me...patted my shoulder and said "Oh Honey, God bless you!"and went back to work...not quite sure how to feel about that. LOL!

Even the bead toy is shaped like a train. Boone had a blast pushing it around...out of the designated play area of course...and definitely NOT using his inside voice! Ha ha!
