A family to be thankful for

A family to be thankful for.
Here is our little gang on Thanksgiving day. We took a bunch of pictures of the kids. I will try to get them up as soon as possible.

Mom! Come see...

The other day, Dane wanted me to help him build a fort with his blocks. I was busy so I told him that I though he could probably build a great fort by himself. He complained that he didn't know how and so I encourage him by reminding him that he has a great imagination and he needed to use it. After a long time I heard him yell "Mom! Come see what I did!" Not only did he build a fort but he used his entire army men collection to decorate it. He asked "Did I do a great job with my imagination Mom?" I told him that he did such a great job that we just HAD to take a picture of it.

Jack-o-lanterns

This year Tyler carved a couple of pumpkins and I carved a couple after he left for work. I felt bad for him because Halloween is his favorite holiday and he didn't get to stay home and enjoy it with his kids this year. Cody just loved our Jack-O-Lanterns. He would ask to go out front so he could see "his pumpkins". He was devastated when we finally had to throw them away.

The haul

Here it is...the haul! Look at all this candy! So much for my "no processed sugar" diet....like I could really resist snitching a few (or more) of my favorites....I don't think candy effects your triglycerides on Halloween night...or for at least a week after...I can only hope! Ha ha! The great thing about having all of this  candy around is that it is a great bargaining/bribing  tool. For example..."Ok boys...I'm going to set the timer, and if you get this whole room cleaned up before you hear the beep, you can have a piece of Halloween candy!" Works like a charm!

More Halloween pics

Cody as Buzz Light Year from the Toy Story movie. He was even saying "To infinity and beyond!!!" Too cute!

Dane as Commander Rex from the Star Wars-The clone wars cartoons. He was so excited about Halloween that he even has next year's costume pick out!

Joelle our little miss Witch. She got to weat a hat...she was happy!

We went trick or treating with Jake and maddie from across the street. Look at Cody...he is yelling "To infinity and beyond!"

Hats

Joelle just loves wearing hats, hoods, and bows. We could tell she was feeling really pretty the other day when we put her hood up. Tyler got this great picture of her.

Thank you

Thank you Grandpa and grandma Thomas for the cool Halloween package. Joelle carried her new pink kitty with her wherever she went...all day long! The squishy spiders where a big hit with the boys...what boy doesn't love a spider he can squish the guts out of!  The Ice Age movie has been enjoyed by all, and it just so happened to come on the morning of Family night...perfect timing! Dad made some homemade popcorn and we had a great movie night. Thank you!!!
