Six Flags

September 4th, 2011 ~ Promised Dane last year that he could go to Six Flags with just him and Mom. Since the house sold I thought I'd better make good on my promise before we moved to Henderson, Nevada. The weather was perfect...he road "The Texas Giant" and then "The Titan"! The 24 story drop was a little too much excitement and that was the end of the big roller coasters for the day...but the spinney and wet rides were not off limits and I think we did them all. Thanks Dane for a very special and amazing day with my very special and amazing son.

Another trip to Chuck E. Cheese

Another trip to Chuck E. Cheese while Dad is here....I'm sure this is just what Tyler was dreaming of doing on his precious vacation time. Oh well, house is up for sale so this is where we need to be right now. Maybe we will tell the kids that they don't have Chuck E. Cheese's is Las Vegas.....wonder how long it will take them to figure it out? Ha ha!

Lego Land in Texas

Too hot!

Audrey and Dane...doing what they could to beat the Texas heat! Even after eating some popsicles they gave up and came back inside...wilted and sweaty! Too many days over 100 degrees, I'm ready for some cooler weather!

Good job Cody!

Cody went down the big slide at Lifetime Fitness yesterday...much to my distress! LOL! He was swimming across the pool by himself and I ran over to the side because it was making me nervous, but the lifeguard said "He's doing fine! Look how far he went, I bet he could pass his swim test now and do the slide". So he past his test, had me go down first, and then the lifeguard at the bottom of the slide moved up a bit and made sure he got to the side OK each time...he must have gone down that slide 50 times yesterday! :) Up and down, up and down...he was one tired boy last night. He kept saying "Boy, those slides sure are fun!"

I was sure he wouldn't be able to do anything like that for another year...I'm very proud of him...he was very brave. I didn't have my camera yesterday so I will try to get some pictures another day.

Toothless

The name of the dragon in the movie "How to train your dragon" is Toothless...we told Dane last night after he lost another tooth, that we should change his name to Toothless...he thought that was funny.
