We have been home from our trip to St. George Utah for over two weeks...and I am just now finally able to write about it. It has taken me that long to recover! We had a great time. But are not looking to spend four full days in the car with our children anytime soon! They were actually much better than we expected.
Thank the Lord for portable DVD players! We could not have survived without them!

We must have stopped every 20 minuets so that Dane could pee! And this time it was so windy outside... and Dane just had to pee off the bridge...so he aimed high...and pee sprayed on me!!! Gross! Dane thought it was hilarious...of course!
We stayed the first night at a motel six. I though it was gross but we were all so tired it didn't really matter. This is us next to the minivan we rented. The van was filthy inside and the whole first day of driving the stupid car would beep every time we drove over 70 miles an hour. It about made me loose my mind. The next morning Tyler found where the "fleet chip" was located by the brake pedal and unhooked it. It was nice to have a minivan though. It made the trip much nicer.
We finally made it to Grandma and Grandpa Thomas' house late that night. Joelle, who hardly made a peep the whole two days in the car, finally had a melt down. I could hardly get her to stop crying. It was really upsetting! It was so great to be back in Utah! I cried off and on the whole time we were there because I didn't want to leave.
Dane found a toy Army gun in Grandma's stash of toys in the basement and Cody found Grandpa's stash of candy. They couldn't have been happier.
There was this great new park that we went to several times while we were there. It has this great water fountain. The water was freezing cold! Cody didn't like it but Dane had a blast.

Grandma and Grandpa Thomas have a golf course behind their house. Cody found one of the garbage cans that was full of golf balls. He had a great time sitting in it and throwing out all the golf balls. Tyler got tired of having to clean them all up, so half way through our visit the can of golf balls mysteriously disappeared.
Dane spent most of the time down in the basement playing video games. He was in heaven!

One night Cody was so tired that he just layed down on the kitchen floor with his blanket. I asked him if he wanted to go "Nite nite" and he said "Yeeeaaaassss!" (That's "yes" mixed with a Texas drawl and a little angel voice...so precious!)

BTW...yes I am obsessed with Twilight and it is a beautful thing! :)
Glad you survived your trip. The peeing thing made me laugh. :-) The kids are adorable and you look great!
