Valentine's Day

Here is a collage of Valentine's day. Tyler's parents were here so it was extra special. The boys got a card and a pachage of those little white powdered donutes. The boys are always asking me to buy them some whenever we are at the grocery store and I never do, so they though they were a great treat. Joelle had fun with the ballons that Grandpa and grandma gave the kids. Tyler got a camera that goes on his mountain bike helmet. It takes video and still pictures. I got several new shirts and some jewlery. It was a great Valentine's Day.

Joelle's favorite spot

Joelle loves to stand by our big window and look out into the back yard. She gets really excited when our dog Tori comes to the window or walks by.

More pictures to come

I know I haven't posted anything lately so I just wanted to let everyone know that I will have more pictures up soon. Joelle has been sick again, Tyler hurt his back, and we've had family in town.

Aren't we just soooo yummy?

I seem to take a lot of pictures of my kids when we're eating lunch or snacks. That's probably because I can catch them sitting still for a few moments. That's also when Dane says the funniest things and we usually are having a pretty good time.

Rrrr...Rrrrr....manch!

Cody says the cutest things!

He loves ranch dressing but for some reason he calls it "Manch". Catchup is either "chip it" or "cat bup". I was trying to teach him how to say ranch so I was saying, "Cody, say Rrrrr Rrrrrr Rrrrranch Ranch" and so now he calls ranch dressing "Rrrr Rrrr manch". I'm obviously not a very good teacher! :>

He also says a lot of things that I will be very glad when he learns how to say them the right way, such as:
"Mommy! Look Mommy!...a bitch"! You mean "bridge" Cody....say brrrridge! :>
His favorite color is blue....favorite toys are balls...put them together and we hear a lot about blue balls around our house...thanks Cody!
And my personal favorite is the way he says fork ...sounds a lot like another four letter "F word".

Yesterday he got frustrated with something and he goes..."Oh Crap!".....oops! My bad! He actually said it perfectly....just the way he hears his mom say it!

Here comes trouble!

As you can see from the pictures below she's everywhere....and she's fast! Time to start shutting the gate on the stairs! Why can't I even have 1% of their energy? Just 1% that's all I ask. Cody was up until 2:40am this morning! He has just started having nightmares...oh joy! One night he told us our dog Tori bit him. One night it was about Wall*E. And last night it was about monkeys.

The simplest things in life...

Some times the simplest things in life are the most precious. I took the boys out for a nature walk last week. We took a bag with us and we had a "treasure hunt". Dane must have picked a hundred dandy lions for me. We had a great time. My babies are growing up too fast. I will miss the days when Dane hands me a at least 25 little yellow flowers and each time he says "I love you Mom" and to Cody I say, "This way Cody" and he replies "OTAY Mommy! ...I coming! ...Jusss minute Mommy!"

It's too quiet...

When it's too quiet at my house and I go looking for the reason why... I never know what I'm going to find...it is often hilarious and most of the time involves Cody!

To the hospital we go...

Joelle was hospitalized last week for three days because she had the RSV virus and was having trouble getting enough oxygen. It was a long week. Luckily it happened on Tyler's days off and he just happened to have a three day weekend (which he never does) so he was able to stay home with the boys while I stayed at the hospital with Joelle. It took the nurses in the emergency room 40 minutes to get an IV in her because she was so dehydrated from throwing up. It was very upsetting to see my baby in pain and not be able to do anything to help her. So in the last couple of months she has been to the emergency room for croup, had to have breathing treatments and xrays for bronchiolitis, and then RSV with ear infection. And guess what?...now Cody has it! Yeah! Luckily he's not doing too bad. I only do breathing treatments for him at night and he thinks his pink antibiotic and grape flavored Motrin are a yummy treat!

Poor baby!

What's going on? Why am I here? This sure is a crappy way to spend my first New Years Eve.

What is this thing they keep sticking in my face? I think I'll see how it tastes...humm not bad.

The nurses had to find me some toys because I don't know I'm sick and I just want to play!

Look Mom! I'm sitting up all by myself...you didn't even know I could do that! Surprise! Hey...what is that nurse doing? Is it going to hurt?

It sure is hard to crawl around with all these tubes attatched to me!

Yeah! The tubes are gone...get me out of this baby jail...can't you see I'm going crazy in here?

I'm tired of waiting...wake me up when it's time to go home!

Christmas pajama's

When I was little my parents let us open one present on Christmas eve. Several times it was pajamas from my grandparents. Tyler's family also got pajamas on Christmas eve. So we have carried on that tradition. Here are the kids in their new pajamas.

Christmas 2008

Here are some highlights from Christmas. Dane and Cody at their school's birthday party for Jesus. Cute Joelle with her reindeer antlers on. Christmas eve dinner. Dane playing his new vedeo games with dad and watching his new Star Wars video in his new Star Wars outfit. Cody dumping out the baby treats from Joelle's stocking and eating them off the floor. Dane took the picture of me and Joelle...not bad!

up and goin'

Joelle has started crawling this last week. And her two front teeth on the bottom have come through. She has also started saying "la la la" ..."blah blah blah"..."ruh ruh ruh". Dane will say, "Mom! Joelle is talking!" She does this funny thing where she poses and holds one leg up with her hand on her knee. She'll stay like that forever. It's really cute.

Popcorn night

At least once a week we have family night or popcorn night. A couple of years ago Tyler's parents gave us a Stir Crazy popcorn popper. The kids call it "Pop Pop!" and they love to watch the popcorn pop and then we watch a movie we rented or one we already have. Good times! Hope you're all having fun getting ready for Christmas.

Our sick baby

Joelle had some kind of respiratory virus and so I was having to give her breathing treatments every four hours. She seems to be better now...thank goodness! I was getting tired of not sleeping through the night. When I took her to the doctor they started talking about admitting her into the hospital but then after three breathing treatments and a chest x-ray they decided she could go home. Thank you again to the Webb family for coming to our rescue! The boys were terrible at the doctors office and we had all had it after two hours, so I dropped the boys of at the Webbs house and they feed them and played with them, so I could go back to the doctors office and get a chest x-ray and more tests done and then to the pharmacy without all the screaming and crying (me), and breaking things, gnashing of teeth, hitting, pushing, and running around like a couple of deranged chickens (them)! Thank you Webb family! What would we do with out you?!!!

Our Happy Thanksgiving

Cody started Thanksgiving out right by eating Cool Whip right out of the carton!

Here is a picture of our whole family. We had dinner with the Webb family over at their house. They were so kind to invite us along with two other families. All we had to bring was a banana cream pie, some chips and dip, and our three crazy kids. Tyler and I actually got to eat and enjoy ourselves because there were plenty of older kids to keep an eye on our little maniacs. Thank you Bruce, Renee, Camille, Spencer, and Melanie. We sure love you guys and you have become more like family to us than just friends!

Here are some more pictures from thanksgiving. (If you click on the collage it will blow the pictures up so you can see them better.)

Joelle and her moose

Here are a few pictures of Joelle loving on the moose that her daddy won her at Ci Ci's pizza. Joelle will be 7 months old on December 9th. She has started doing a little scoot-crawl this week and she can sit up for a minute or two by herself. What a big girl!

Bathtime fun

For some reason I just can't get enough pictures of my kids in the tub. It's nice to have them clean...even if it only lasts for a few minutes! :>
