Last Saturday we decided we should go to a park and have a picnic. Tyler had wanted to take us to a park by Grapevine lake but it ended up being a disaster (at least for Tyler, the kids were clueless). First, the line at the McDonald's drive-thru was too long for Tyler so we had to do some round about driving to get over to Wendy's, and we had to listen to the boys complain that they only like McDonald's food...yuck! Then when we got to the park entrance it had pylons so Tyler thought it was closed and didn't turn in. We then ended up having to make a detour over the damn because there was no place to turn around. We ended up back at the public park and found out there is now a $5.00 fee to park there. That made Tyler furious and he refused to pay and now that is one more thing he says he hates about living in Texas. THEN...Dane said he had to pee so we stopped at a little bait shop place and the bathroom was filthy! By the time we found another park we had eaten all our fries. It was also really windy that day. BUT...as you can see from the pictures the kids had a great time, and after all, isn't that what really matters?
